Here are some tips for those who want to detect the locale of their users:
Detect the locale from within your application.
Scroll down to "languages" in the advanced area of the browser options. Open Language and Input Settings and choose the language or language+region option from the list of available selections. If you select a language+region combination, Chrome will first set that choice, then the vanilla language.
There was one show in particular that I found completely disgusting. "Mind Your Language" was a British comedy. The notion has the potential to be pretty amusing. It felt like it was everywhere at one point, and many individuals of color were heckled in the street by strangers who quoted inappropriate lyrics from the performance.
By default, the language of the Internet browser is regional; wherever you go in the globe, your browser shows the language that is most often spoken there. Some people, however, speak languages in addition to their native language and prefer one over the other. For these people, it may be useful to have a web browser that allows them to change the language of its interface.
Here are the most common browsers:
Internet Explorer: The language can be set from the Tools menu or through the International Settings panel. Firefox: The language can be set from the Tools menu or through the Options window. Chrome: The language can be set from the Settings menu. Safari: The language can be set from the Preferences window.
If your preferred language is not listed here, it probably means that the browser manufacturer does not offer support for this language. Before you ask for help on an English-language forum, make sure you've searched for an answer first in our forums where many users with different languages are active. You could also try asking a question yourself: if you get a response, then you know there's at least someone out there who understands what you're trying to do!
Scroll down until you locate the English language in the pop-up box. The English choice is almost always at the bottom of the list.
